Quick Details
Discover Freediving in the waters of Florida!
Learn the basics of freediving in just a half-day! The Discover Freediving experience is a program that introduces participants to freediving activities in a confined water setting and under the guidance and supervision of professionals. Think ‘Advanced Snorkeling!’ It is designed as a highly flexible program that offers an informative, enjoyable, controlled experience centered on modern freediving techniques.
The experience will take place either at the Blue Heron Bridge or nearby Pool (based on weather conditions) and start with a Certified Freedive Instructor that will review freediving concepts with each person in the group. Next we will learn proper breathing and breathhold techniques as well as introductory freedive disciplines plus proper buddy procedures. Finally, we will learn how to make a proper water entry.
Most students, after completing the Discover Freediving course, have built confidence to take on the added challenge of open water diving. Discover Freediving students can seamlessly upgrade to the PADI Freediver Certification at a later date.
